Process

Purpose

The video is intended to showcase Josef Alber’s Color Theory of the relationship between colors. We wanted to highlight this dynamic interaction through the color of the avocados and their surroundings in a fun and catchy short animation.

Conception

We ideated with different video concepts and subjects, and ultimately decided upon personifying avocados because the natural browning process of the fruit provides opportunity to showcase the color interaction, and who doesn’t love avocados?

Execution

The environment background and characters are digitally created in Adobe Illustrator, and are then animated in After Effects.

Takeaways

This was one of my first major digital design projects, and it has equipped me with improved Illustrator skills.
